Understanding Health Classifications

Most life insurance companies have many different health rating classes.

The better your health class, the lower your premium. 

In every article on this site, we will tell you which class below that you may be able to qualify for.

Preferred Plus – For those in superb health.  On this site, when we say your health condition “may not be rated”, you may be able to qualify for this category.  Use quote form on the right for preferred plus quote.

Standard – For people with an average life expectancy.  Click here for a quote.

Mild Substandard – Using our quote form on the right, add 50% to the “Standard” premium.  Click here for a quote.

Medium Substandard – Using our quote form on the right, add 100% to the “Standard” premium.  Click here for a quote.

Severe Substandard – Using our quote form on the right, add 150% to the “Standard” premium.  Click here for a quote.

Graded Death Benefit – If you cannot qualify for traditional types of insurance above, you may be able to qualify for a graded policy.  It’s for people with serious medical issues, and pays out a reduced death benefit during the first 2-3 years after it has been issued.  Click here or call us for more details at 877-443-9467.
